The foundation of Dr. Plascyk's care is education, education, EDUCATION! Patients have to understand what dental disease is, what causes it and how to prevent it. Dr. Plascyk has a very high standard for what he considers to be good oral health, and he wants his patients to have the same standard.
To treat infection, Dr. Plascyk promotes a proven homecare protocol, which he teaches his patients. Once patients understand dental disease, they become better at preventing it. After educating his patients, he recommends an all natural oral antimicrobial therapy in the office.
To treat stress, Dr. Plascyk evaluates your bite and if necessary he will recommend bite balancing therapy to relieve the stress on the teeth. The bite is how upper and lower teeth fit together when the mouth is shut. A misaligned bite can cause discomfort, tooth wear, and many other oral health and whole-body problems. In Dr. Plascyk's opinion, unbalanced bites cause most of the dental disease in adults.
